About the Founder
Julie Heisey grew up in south central PA and began pursuing her interest in economic development during her high school years while living in Mali, West Africa. She naturally pursued a bachelors degree in Economic Development from Messiah College, graduating in 2017.
Her learning really began in her first professional role as a capacity building assistant to the Friends Peace House (Urugo rw’Amahoro) in Kigali, Rwanda. There she collaborated with teachers, directors, pastors, and international workers to bring updated data systems and greater social media engagement and story telling, while learning from her colleagues the impact of time set aside for regular team building (in the form of tea and donuts)…
